In a breakthrough, investigating the honey trap and abduction case involving renowned senior writer and drama author Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has led to major developments. Police traced the suspects to Nankana Sahib, revealing an organized gang of 10 to 12 individuals targeting affluent men.
The gang, which includes three women, used sophisticated honeytrap schemes to exploit their targets. Amina Arooj, a gang member, played a crucial role in ensnaring Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.

According to police reports, Arooj communicated with Qamar via WhatsApp for six days, culminating in an invitation to her residence.
During the operation, it was uncovered that the gang employed secret recordings to blackmail their victims, demanding substantial ransoms. Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, among others, fell victim to this malicious tactic.

Swift police action, facilitated by the use of advanced technology, enabled the apprehension of the culprits within hours of the crime. Upon arrest, the gang was found in possession of multiple vehicles, wireless communication devices, and firearms.
