Advanced Micro Devices Inc. opened US pre-orders for the AMD Ryzen AI Halo Developer Platform, a $3,999 mini PC for local AI workloads, through Micro Centre.
Micro Centre said pre-orders began on June 8, 2026. The compact developer system is built to run AI workloads on-device without relying on cloud processing, according to the retailer.
AMD lists the system with a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, 32 threads, Radeon 8060S integrated graphics with 40 RDNA 3.5 compute units, and an XDNA 2 NPU.
The developer platform includes 128GB of LPDDR5x memory at 8000 MT/s, 256GB/s of memory bandwidth, and a 2TB M.2 SSD.
AMD says the platform supports AI models of up to 200 billion parameters, depending on workload and setup.
The mini PC supports Linux and Windows 11 Pro via two operating system variants. Micro Centre lists a Windows 11 Pro model, while the second SKU ships with Linux and uses the same hardware.
Connectivity includes three USB-C ports, one USB-C power input, HDMI 2.1b, 10Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, according to AMD’s specification sheet. AMD lists the system at 150 x 150 x 45.4mm and under 1.2kg.
