Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain appealed to the President, Prime Minister and other high-ups of the government towards the recent terror attacks and said the button of the targeted killings has been ‘switched on’ under a conspiracy to plunge Karachi into chaos and bloodshed.
In a statement issued from London, Altaf Hussain said the saboteurs assassinated three people hailing from a particular school of thought in Korangi.
“Salman Kazmi, coordinator of Haider Abbas Rizvi, a Rabta Committee member, was shot down. The brothers of party’s workers were targeted in Surjani Town and Liaquatabad.”
Condemning the wave of target killings in the metropolis, the MQM chief asserted that “the security forces failed to ensure peace in the megacity, asserting if the law-enforcement agencies cannot provide protection to the citizens, they should declare it so that the people may arrange for their security on their own”.
