The federal government announced a petrol price hike of Rs13.18 per litre on July 10, taking the new petrol rate to Rs310.71 per litre with immediate effect.
According to the notification, high-speed diesel was increased by Rs 13.80 per litre. The new diesel price has been fixed at Rs323.30 per litre.
The revised petroleum prices will remain effective for the coming week, the notification said.

The latest increase was linked to renewed escalation between the United States and Iran after a brief ceasefire.
The price revision came days after oil marketing companies and refineries raised concerns over the federal government’s fuel pricing policy.
The Oil Companies Advisory Council warned that unilateral pricing decisions were placing severe financial pressure on the industry. It said unresolved pricing issues could disrupt fuel supplies.
