More than 40 passengers were injured when a speeding bus overturned near Joyanwala Morr on Lahore Road in Shekhupura today (Thursday).
Around seventy passengers were on-board the bus that was enroute to Faisalabad from Lahore.
As per details, the driver lost control of the bus while trying to overtake a van. Rescue 1122 and patrolling police arrived at the scene and shifted the injured to District Headquarter Hospital in Sheikhpura.
The hospital staff arrived half hour after MS DHQ Hospital Dr Mubashar Ahmed was informed about their absence.
Fifteen people were discharged after the treatment while some of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
