The Lahore High Court complaint cell took notice of a press report which said that influential landlords allegedly chopped off the nose of a labourer’s daughter.
The cell has directed the Bahawalnagar district and sessions judge to submit a detailed report within a week.
Reports said that Jamshed and Nadeem of Basti Sherwali, along with their five accomplices, barged into the house of labourer Bashir. The intruders subjected Bashir’s daughter, 20, to severe torture and ultimately chopped off her nose. They escaped afterwards.
According to the victim’s family, Fareeda was punished because she had dared to refuse Jamshed’s son’s marriage proposal. Earlier, the accused party had also allegedly tried to abduct the girl, but her relatives foiled the bid.
The police had registered a case against seven suspects on the victim’s complaint.
Whats happening in this country? Nothing is safe here. In India, the girl who was raped and murdered are in court and they got their punishment, but no one is considering this bcox we are just considering radicalism as biggest problem of Pakistan. Shame on us.
