YouTube is launching a new initiative to streamline video dubbing across languages using artificial intelligence. The platform has partnered with Aloud, an AI-fueled dubbing service, which will provide automatic transcriptions that can be revised and edited for translation and dubbing purposes.
As YouTube’s Amjad Hanif reported, this tool has undergone successful testing with hundreds of creators. Currently, Aloud extends its support to a select few languages, including English, Portuguese, and Spanish, with plans to accommodate more languages in the near future.
YouTube aims to refine the translated audio tracks to resemble the creator’s voice as closely as possible, enhancing expressiveness and lip synchronization. This innovative dubbing tool is poised to aid the expanding community of YouTube creators by simplifying the dubbing process and facilitating global content accessibility.
