Defending champions Pakistan beat Bangladesh in the women’s Twenty20 cricket final at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, winning the first gold medal for the country.
Pakistan, who were first to bat, set a target of 97 for the loss of six wickets, while Bangladesh were restricted to a meagre 38 runs.
Bisma Maroof scored 24 runs, Syeda Nain Fatima Abidi made 18 runs while Marina Iqbal scored 14. Sana Mir and Nida Rashid scored 10 runs each.
Pakistan beat China and Thailand on their path to glory and came into the 17th Asian Games as defending champions after winning the title back in 2010 in Guangzhou, China.
