WhatsApp is reportedly developing a new feature for its iOS app that will allow users to manage multiple accounts on a single device.

The feature aims to simplify account management by eliminating the need for separate devices or parallel versions of WhatsApp. With multi-account support, users could easily switch accounts through a simple user interface (UI).

Multi-Account Support on WhatsApp for iOS

According to feature tracker WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is developing a multi-account feature for a future iOS release. This feature was discovered in the WhatsApp beta app version 25.2.10.70. It is expected to allow users to run multiple WhatsApp accounts on the same iPhone for personal or business use.

A screenshot shared by WABetaInfo indicates that the feature will be available in the app settings. Users can add new accounts, though switching between them may require restarting the app. Currently, users can manage multiple accounts using workarounds, such as registering one account as a WhatsApp Business account, even if it’s not business-related.

Although the multi-account feature is still in development, WABetaInfo suggests it’s not yet available to beta testers. It will be rolled out to more iOS beta users in the coming weeks.

A similar feature has already appeared in the WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.23.17.8), available to users in the Google Play Beta program. However, it’s important to note that not all features developed for various platforms make it to the final public release.
