Doha, Qatar: US-Iran talks on frozen assets will be held in Doha in July, while Pakistan will host a separate round on the nuclear issue, regional media reported Saturday.
Saudi television channel Al-Hadath reported that negotiations on Iran’s frozen assets would take place in Qatar. Al Arabiya also reported that the Doha talks would include Iran’s frozen funds.
The diplomatic process is moving through two parallel channels. The Doha track focuses on financial issues and possible access to frozen Iranian assets.
The report said negotiators were discussing a phased mechanism for restricted access to funds held through Qatari banks.
The proposed access would focus on humanitarian purchases, including food and medicine. The financial discussions were also linked to maritime stability and freedom of navigation near the Strait of Hormuz.
Pakistan will later host a separate round of negotiations focused on Iran’s nuclear issue, the sources told Al Arabiya. The Islamabad track would focus on technical enforcement of nuclear restrictions.
It said discussions included uranium enrichment levels and a possible long-term monitoring arrangement. The report also referred to a 60-day timeline for working groups to prepare a final roadmap.

The nuclear track could include coordination on the return of UN nuclear inspectors. The diplomatic process remains fragile as talks on frozen assets, oil-related issues and nuclear restrictions continue through separate channels.
The US-Iran talks report comes amid efforts to keep financial, maritime and nuclear issues on parallel negotiating tracks.
