Two terrorists allegedly belonging to Al-Qaeda’s Ahmed Farooq group were killed in a police encounter near Muzaffargarh,according to media reports.
According to details, police raided a house on a tip off from a prisoner and recovered three bombs. Returning from the raid, the terrorists attacked the police and freed their captive aide.
The police instantly cordoned off the area and searched for the criminals, the crossfire between the cops and the terrorists ended in the killing of two terrorists while a sub inspector and a constable were injured.
The incident took place in Alipur tehsil of Muzaffargarh district of Punjab.
Police sources say that both the terrorists belong to Ahmad Farooq group of Al- Qaeda, an international terror outfit.
