Trump’s Iran deal terms were signed under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding to end the US-Iran war, with Pakistan serving as mediator.
President Donald Trump signed the written version at the Palace of Versailles in France before a dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron during the G7 summit.
The United States and Iran digitally and remotely signed English and Farsi versions of the document. It said the agreement became official and effective immediately.

Trump told reporters, “This was not easy,” while signing the document. He said ending the conflict and reopening key trade routes were critical.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the agreement had been electronically signed by the United States and Iran. He said he endorsed it as a mediator.
Iran agreed to immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz to global commercial shipping. The United States agreed to lift its naval blockade of Iranian ports.
The supplied text described the Islamabad MoU as a 14-point framework. It said the framework permanently ends military operations between the United States and Iran and extends the baseline ceasefire by 60 days for talks on a permanent treaty.
The framework also includes US commitments to lift various sanctions and work with regional partners on a USD 300 billion rehabilitation and economic development fund for Iran.
