“The Mandalorian and Grogu” opened in Philippine cinemas and IMAX theatres after a fan-filled premiere that marked Star Wars’ return to the big screen.
The film continues the story after Season 3 of “The Mandalorian” and takes place after “Return of the Jedi” and before “The Force Awakens.”
Actor Pedro Pascal returns as Din Djarin, who accepts a mission from Rebel Alliance colonel Ward, played by Sigourney Weaver.
The story also brings in Rotta the Hutt, voiced by “The Bear” actor Jeremy Allen White.
Director Jon Favreau keeps the film’s Space Western tone. Composer Ludwig Göransson, a three-time Oscar winner, returns to score the film.
