DG Rangers Major General Rizwan Akhtar after completion of operation at the Jinnah International Airport  while talking to media early morning today, said the terrorists involved in attack on Karachi airport looked like foreigners, mostly of Uzbek origin.

“Their DNA tests will conducted for confirmation” he said.

Major General Rizwan Akhtar said the operation was successfully conducted with the joint effort of security forces, Rangers, ASF and police personnel.

He said ten terrorists had come in two groups and they gained access to the terminal through the Cargo gate and Fokker gate.

Weapons recovered from seem Indian-made, he added.

DG Rangers said there is no affective system to control foreigners in the city.

He also lauded media for covering the incident responsibly.

The initial assault at Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan s southern port city began late Sunday and raged until dawn, when the military said that all 10 attackers had been killed.
