Islamabad, Pakistan: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has issued a South Air AOC, clearing the newly established private airline to begin operations in the coming days.
The Air Operator Certificate was issued under the signature of CAA Director General Nadir Shafi Dar.
Officials said the Ministry of Defence and the Civil Aviation Authority supported the certification process.
Dar said the CAA remained committed to supporting growth and development in Pakistan’s aviation sector. South Air plans to operate flights to airports across Pakistan.
The airline has already conducted test flights to New Gwadar International Airport and Sukkur Airport. CAA inspectors monitored and evaluated those test flights as part of the certification process.
