Federal Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique said that the Chinese president cancelled his visit to Pakistan because of the sit-ins staged by PTI and PAT in Islamabad.
Speaking to media outside the Parliament House, he outlined various projects from power to development to be sponsored by China in Pakistan which had been been delayed due to postponement of Chinese president’s visit.
He said Imran Khan and Dr. Tahirul Qadri should answer the nation regarding their ‘anti-state’ activities affecting the country’s economy.
The minister said loses worth Rs 550 billion had been inflicted to economy.
Along with IDPs issue, floods are emerging to be a serious issue, he said.
“I would request to Imran and Dr. Qadri to remove their sit-ins but keep their demands which can be discussed. These protest sit-ins are adding to the plights of the country”, he said.
