Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi attended the Democratic Convention at Philadelphia.
According to Qureshi’s Facebook page, the Qureshi attended the convention to support and campaign for Hillary Clinton, the nominee of the Democratic Party for President of the United States in 2016.
Quershi’s Facebook page stated “Shah Mehmood Qureshi participated in the Democratic National Convention at Philadelphia. He is there to support and campaign for Hillary Clinton,”
Qureshi and Clinton, who were foreign ministers of Pakistan and US respectively in 2010, got media attention when latter collapsed into giggled during a press conference with former in Washington.
It came as they announced a ‘new spirit of cooperation’ between the two countries.
In October 2011, during the “town hall” meeting in Islamabad, a Pakistani woman told Clinton that the US acted like Pakistan’s mother-in-law.
