On the directives of Supreme Court (SC) the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Sunday has asked all bank of Pakistan to provide the bank accounts details of all Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
In a notification issued from the SBP, The SBP has directed all banks for the relevant information including details of international funding from various countries as well.
On June 23, the SC summoned details of NGOs operating in Pakistan.
The apex court directed the federal and provincial governments to provide details regarding NGOs. The court also sought the registration and monitoring mechanism for NGOs along with details of funding.
