Islamabad, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers staged a PTI walkout from the National Assembly on Thursday over what they called the continued denial of a meeting with Imran Khan.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan told the House that the party had repeatedly sought permission to meet its founder. He said PTI would decide in a joint parliamentary party meeting whether to continue participating in Parliament.
Gohar said PTI had secured around 30 million votes in the general elections and remained committed to constitutional supremacy. He urged National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to issue a ruling to facilitate a meeting with Imran Khan.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said he had already facilitated three meetings between PTI leaders and the federal government. He said the opposition party continued to stage walkouts despite those efforts.
The walkout came amid continuing PTI complaints about access to Imran Khan, who remains jailed. Earlier reports indicated that the party claimed meetings with Khan were being restricted.

Separately, Gohar dismissed reports of a forward bloc within PTI. He acknowledged internal differences but said no organised group was working against the party leadership or the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Gohar said consultations were underway to address concerns of PTI lawmakers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially on governance and development projects. He said the leadership wanted to resolve those reservations through dialogue.
