WASHINGTON: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi discussed a possible PIA Boeing aircraft deal for 16 new planes during a visit to the company’s headquarters.
Naqvi met Boeing Global President Brendan Nelson alongside a delegation representing the new management of Pakistan International Airlines.
The meeting focused on available aircraft and procurement options for the national carrier, according to the official account.
Both sides agreed to work towards finalising suitable terms as soon as possible. Nelson assured the Pakistani delegation of Boeing’s cooperation in speeding up the procurement process.

Naqvi thanked the Boeing executive for the assurance. He also praised the company’s role in the global aircraft manufacturing industry.
The aircraft models, estimated purchase costs, financing methods or delivery schedules have not been confirmed yet.
