London: A matter of pride for our nation, for the first time ever in the history of Pakistan someone from Pakistan Air Force has been nominated as, the Best Overseas candidate in Royal Air Force College Cranwell.
Flying Officer Junaid Saleem passed out on 18th, june2015 from Royal Air Force Academy Cranwell and awarded with the best overseas cadet award.
Pakistan Air Force is the sixth largest Air Force in the World. It basically came into being in 1947 with the independence of Pakistan from India and British, it was then called the Royal Pakistan Air Force.
At the time of the independence the country was not provided with the total promised equipment and aircraft and it was not until 1956 when the country became a Republic, which changed the name to Pakistan Air Force and started flourishing. It today has almost 65,000 full time personnel and 902 Aircraft. The Chief of Air Staff is Mr. Sohail Aman.
