The Ministry of Interior has announced a new initiative to send Pakistani police officers to Turkey for professional training.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Pachaçi met in Islamabad to discuss expanding cooperation in security, police training, and civil armed forces.
During their meeting, it was agreed that an exchange program with Turkey would enhance the skill set of Pakistani police. Minister Naqvi expressed that Pakistan views Turkey as a second home and is eager to deepen the historical, religious, commercial, and cultural connections between the two nations.

Furthermore, Minister Naqvi revealed that starting August 14, Turkish citizens will be eligible for free online visa facilities to facilitate easier travel to Pakistan. He also accepted an invitation from the Turkish government to visit Turkey in October to explore additional avenues for cooperation.
The discussion also touched on the topic of Pakistani detainees in Turkey, with Naqvi indicating that an agreement regarding their release is expected to be concluded soon.
Ambassador Dr. Pachaçi reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to ongoing collaboration with Pakistan across various sectors, reinforcing the strong ties between the two countries.
