Pakistan yesterday vowed to deal a deathblow to the terrorists ‘without wasting a single moment’.
“If we cannot deal with the terrorists with an iron fist then there is no point for us to waste our time sitting here,” the prime minister said during an emergency All Parties Conference held in Islamabad to hash out national security.
“We will have to take extraordinary decisions to devastate the extraordinary anti-state designs,” the PM quipped.
Earlier, Sharif said that the country’s political leadership has shown great maturity and acumen in formulating a comprehensive National Action Plan to deal with terrorism after the Peshawar massacre and stressed over the need for quick implementation of the plan.
Addressing participants of the All Parties Conference held on the issue of dealing with terrorism, the prime minister gave a brief rundown over how the 20-point National Action Plan was formulated.
“I am happy today that country’s political leadership is united to eliminate terrorism,” he said, adding today’s conference will discuss and finalize the implementation of the plan.
PM Sharif stressed upon the political parties heads to finalize the plan to so that it should be presented before the parliament for quick implementation.
“I think, now there is no need to debate any further on this issue as we have held a series of marathon meetings to discuss this plan over the last 16 days,” he added.
