Pakistan has committed to bringing to justice those responsible for the fatal assault on a convoy carrying Chinese nationals.
On Sunday night near Jinnah International Airport, an explosion claimed the lives of at least three people, including two Chinese nationals, and injured another Chinese individual along with several others.

The explosion occurred around 11 p.m. at a traffic signal close to the airport in Karachi.
The blast’s sound resonated across the city, and television footage depicted large clouds of smoke and intense flames at the site.
The Foreign Office, condemning the attack, expressed condolences to the victims’ families and wished the injured a quick recovery.
“This act of terrorism not only targets Pakistan but also the friendship between Pakistan and China. We are determined to prosecute those behind this vile act, including the Majeed Brigade,” the FO stated.
The statement also highlighted ongoing coordination with the Chinese embassy to ensure the security of Chinese nationals and projects in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, condemning the attack, emphasized that such acts could only be the work of Pakistan’s enemies, not its citizens. He assured exhaustive efforts to protect Chinese individuals in Pakistan.
The Chinese embassy confirmed the attack targeted a Port Qasim Electric Power Company convoy.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi shared his condolences and affirmed that the perpetrators would face justice.
Further investigations revealed significant findings about the vehicle used in the attack, registered under Shah Fahd in Balochistan’s Noshki area.
Authorities have since broadened the investigation to include Balochistan and suspended a deputy superintendent of police responsible for monitoring the movement of Chinese nationals at the airport.
