The Pak-Afghan border at Friendship gate in Chaman was closed since Friday morning, a day before the Afghan presidential elections are scheduled to take place, an official said.
An official of the Frontier Corps (FC), a para-military force told the media that the border was completely closed by the border forces of the two countries.
He said the major reason behind closure of the border was to avert any untoward incident on the eve of Afghan polls.
The border wil remain closed on Saturday as well.
