Holding a nationwide strike, the All Pakistan Oil Tankers Association has suspended the supply of oil all over the country in a bid to protest against the imposition of 5% additional sales tax.
Sindh government has imposed a 5 percent additional sales tax; the Oil Tankers Association therefore has launched a protest against the imposition. In the wake of which, they have announced to cut off oil supply within the country especially to the power sector. They further threatened to impede the supply to Karachi, if their demands are not met.
