The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced a toll tax increase of up to 30%, effective July 1, 2024.
The NHA toll tax hike applies to National Highways, M1, M3, M4, M5, and the Havelian-Mansehra Expressway.
On National Highways, the car toll has risen from Rs 30 to Rs 40, and for wagons, from Rs 50 to Rs 70. Buses will now be charged Rs 130, up from Rs 100. The toll for two- to three-axle trucks has increased from Rs 120 to Rs 150, while large trucks will now pay Rs 350, up from Rs 250.
For the M1, the car toll has jumped from Rs 240 to Rs 360. Wagons will now be charged Rs 550, up from Rs 400. The toll for 13- to 14-seat coasters has increased from Rs 550 to Rs 700. Buses will see their toll rise from Rs 700 to Rs 1,000. Two- and three-axle trucks will now pay Rs 1,300, up from Rs 1,040. On the M5, the toll for cars travelling from Multan to Sukkur has increased from Rs 680 to Rs 900.
