ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday granted Amna Saeed bail in a case involving allegations that she assaulted her husband and their two minor daughters.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro ordered her release against Rs200,000 in surety bonds, to be furnished by her father, who had filed the bail petition.
The husband’s counsel alleged that Saeed assaulted him on three occasions and left visible injuries. He also claimed police recovered an iron rod and alleged that the couple’s two daughters were assaulted.
Defence counsel Imran Feroz Malik argued that police had wrongly applied Section 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code, maintaining that the matter arose from a domestic dispute.

The court also questioned the investigating officer about whether Saeed had undergone a psychiatric evaluation after her arrest. The officer told the court that no such examination had been conducted.
The defence further submitted that Saeed took her husband to hospital in her own vehicle after the alleged incident.
The case was registered at the Women Police Station. Police documents stated that ASI Farzana Begum initiated preliminary proceedings by filing official documents dated June 4 and July 6, 2026.
