On Sunday, a powerful blast rocked the Naushki-Dalbandin Highway in Balochistan. The explosion targeted a bus, killing at least five people and injuring ten others. Police officials confirmed the attack happened along this busy route. Rescue teams quickly arrived, moving the injured and the deceased to a nearby hospital.

The Medical Superintendent at Mir Gul Khan Naseer Teaching Hospital in Noshki acted fast. He declared an emergency to manage the influx of victims. Doctors and staff worked tirelessly to treat the wounded. Meanwhile, authorities began investigating the cause of the blast.

According to Noshki SHO Zafarullah Sumalani, initial investigations suggest the incident was a suicide attack.

He said evidence from the site of the attack suggested that a suicide attacker rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the FC convoy.https://t.co/dLfggz14Qu

This isn’t the first attack in Balochistan recently. Just a day earlier, on Saturday, a roadside bomb exploded in Quetta on Barori Road. The blast hit an Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) vehicle during a patrol in the Karani area. Seven ATF personnel suffered injuries, and one officer later died in the hospital.

Terrorist Attack on Jaffar Express

Violence has escalated in the province. Earlier, terrorists bombed the Peshawar-Quetta Jaffar Express in the Bolan Pass area. The explosion injured the train driver and allowed militants to take 400 passengers hostage, including women and children. The attackers detonated a bomb on the tracks before launching their assault.

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of ISPR, provided an update on the Jaffar Express attack. He confirmed that security forces killed all 33 terrorists involved. However, the victory came at a cost. The attack claimed the lives of 21 passengers and 4 Frontier Corps (FC) personnel.

The recent wave of attacks highlights the ongoing security challenges in Balochistan. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as investigations unfold.
