Naomi Osaka arrived at Roland Garros in a custom couture outfit on Tuesday before defeating Germany’s Laura Siegemund 6-3, 7-6 (3) in the French Open first round in Paris.
Osaka entered the clay court wearing an all-black custom-designed look by Swiss couturier Kevin Germannier. The outfit featured a sleeveless lace-up top with beading and a semi-sheer pleated skirt created from repurposed material from Osaka’s earlier competition gear.
After her entrance, Osaka changed into a sparkly Nike match kit, a brown peplum-style top, and a layered skirt detailed with gold sequins.

Speaking after the match, Osaka compared the look to the illuminated Eiffel Tower in Paris. “Honestly, it’s very couture,” Osaka said. “You know the Eiffel Tower at night when it’s sparkly? I kinda think I look like that a little bit.”
The appearance added to a series of fashion-focused public outings by Osaka in 2026. Earlier this month, she attended the Met Gala in New York wearing a white coat dress paired with a crimson feathered headpiece at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
