Pakistan’s armed forces marked the first Marka-e-Haq anniversary on Thursday by paying tribute to the Pakistan Air Force for defending the country’s airspace during last year’s clash with India, ISPR said.
The Inter-Services Public Relations described the events of the night between May 6 and 7, 2025, as a “defining chapter” in Pakistan’s military history, saying they strengthened national confidence and reinforced the armed forces’ resolve.
ISPR praised the Pakistan Air Force for its professionalism, operational focus and rapid modernisation. It said the PAF had enhanced its capabilities through advanced systems and emerging technologies to prepare for future warfare.
The military’s media wing said the PAF had expanded its use of multi-domain operations to respond to the changing nature of modern combat and safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The statement said Pakistan remained a peace-loving country committed to regional stability and security, but added that “honour, dignity and sovereign equality” remained essential to peace.
ISPR said the armed forces were monitoring evolving geopolitical realities and regional military developments while continuing to invest in advanced technologies, critical capabilities and professional training.
The statement warned that Pakistan would counter any aggression with “greater strength, precision and resolve” than it showed during Marka-e-Haq.
ISPR also acknowledged the professionalism, sacrifice and efforts of PAF personnel, describing the air force as a symbol of pride, strength and confidence for the nation.
