Lahore Qalandars vs Rawalpindiz ended with the defending champions claiming a crucial 32-run victory at National Bank Stadium in Karachi, a result that knocked Rawalpindiz out of PSL 11. Lahore posted 210/4 and then restricted their opponents to 178/9, producing a complete performance with both bat and ball.
The win gave Lahore their third victory of the season and kept their campaign alive at a critical stage. Just as importantly, it ended Rawalpindiz’s hopes of reaching the next round.
Batting first, Lahore built their innings on a superb opening partnership between Mohammad Farooq and Fakhar Zaman. The pair added 121 runs and put Rawalpindiz under pressure from the start.
Farooq led the early charge and brought up his maiden PSL fifty before falling for 63 off 41 balls, an innings that included five fours and five sixes. Fakhar then carried the momentum forward with a polished 84 off 54 deliveries, striking 11 fours and one six.
Abdullah Shafique added 26 off 18 and helped Lahore maintain the tempo in the middle overs. In the final over, Asif Ali struck back-to-back sixes to push the total past 200, finishing unbeaten on 14 from just six balls.
Rawalpindiz Lose Early Control Of The Chase
Chasing 211, Rawalpindiz made a poor start and never fully recovered. Shaheen Afridi removed Shahzaib Khan and captain Mohammad Rizwan in the same over, leaving the side reeling at 17/2.
Daryl Mitchell and Yasir Khan tried to repair the damage with a 71-run partnership. Yasir played the more aggressive role and reached his fourth PSL half-century before Haris Rauf broke the stand.
Rauf then struck again in the same over to dismiss Yasir for 58 off 29 balls, a knock featuring six fours and three sixes. That double blow turned the chase back in Lahore’s favor.

After the early breakthroughs, Lahore’s bowlers kept tightening their grip. Sikandar Raza dismissed Sam Billings, while Usama Mir removed Dian Forrester and Colin McConchie to derail the middle order.
Daniel Sams also chipped in with a wicket, and Lahore never allowed the chase to regain balance. Saad Masood fought back with a spirited 54 off 26 balls and brought up his maiden PSL fifty, but his effort came too late to change the outcome.

Haris Rauf sealed a strong outing by picking up his third wicket in the final over when he dismissed Saad. His spell helped ensure Lahore completed the win with authority.
The result mattered beyond the scoreboard. Lahore’s victory not only gave the defending champions fresh momentum, but also eliminated Rawalpindiz from the tournament.
That made the match one of the most significant results of the PSL 11 season so far. Lahore stayed alive, while Rawalpindiz saw their campaign come to an end.
