Kuwait air traffic resumed Saturday at 6:15 am local time after authorities temporarily closed airspace over Iranian attack threats, the Civil Aviation Directorate said.
The directorate said flights resumed after coordination with relevant authorities and confirmation that danger had been removed, according to the Kuwaiti News Agency. Authorities had closed Kuwaiti airspace earlier in the day as a precautionary measure.
The directorate said 11 Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways flights were diverted to nearby airports during the suspension.
Kuwaiti officials said air defences responded to hostile missile and drone threats launched by Iran. The disruption came amid wider regional tensions after the United States and Israel launched airstrikes on Iran in late February.

Iran later launched retaliatory strikes against Israel and targeted countries hosting US military bases.
Tehran also disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy supplies. A ceasefire later took effect, though diplomatic efforts toward a broader agreement have continued.
