Afghanistan completed an Afghanistan record ODI chase by reaching 299-4 in 48.5 overs to beat Ireland by six wickets at Stormont in Belfast on Saturday.
Captain Rahmat Shah led the chase with 143 off 133 balls. He struck 13 fours and two sixes as Afghanistan recorded their highest successful run chase in ODI cricket.
Sediqullah Atal added 98 off 112 deliveries and hit seven fours and three sixes. Azmatullah Omarzai then scored 24 off 14 balls to help finish the chase with seven balls remaining.
Ireland had earlier posted 298-7 in 50 overs at the Civil Service Cricket Club, Stormont. Curtis Campher top-scored with 96 off 84 balls, while Harry Tector made 53.

Liam McCarthy led Ireland’s bowling with figures of 3-47 from 10 overs. Jai Moondra took the other Afghanistan wicket.
