A Kuwait airport strike killed one person and injured 63 others on Wednesday after Iranian missiles and drones hit the country, Kuwait’s Health Ministry said.
Kuwait International Airport suspended flights after the attack damaged airport facilities. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait identified the person killed as an Indian national.
The attack came during one of the sharpest U.S.-Iran exchanges since a fragile ceasefire began in April. The Guardian reported that the strike hit a terminal at Kuwait International Airport.
U.S. Central Command said American forces carried out “self-defence strikes” on an Iranian military ground control station on Qeshm Island on June 2.
CENTCOM said the action followed attempted Iranian missile and drone attacks across the region.
Iran also fired missiles and drones toward Bahrain. U.S. and partner forces intercepted several incoming threats, according to CENTCOM-linked reporting.

The exchange has added pressure to stalled U.S.-Iran diplomacy. Broader talks remain focused on ceasefire terms, shipping security and Iran’s nuclear program.
