A 4.3-magnitude Kohlu earthquake rattled Balochistan on Saturday, the third tremor to hit the district within two days, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Quetta.
The latest quake struck 40 kilometres north of Kohlu at a depth of 15 kilometres. Authorities reported no immediate casualties or structural damage from Saturday’s tremor.
The renewed seismic activity followed two tremors the previous day. The strongest, measuring 5.1, damaged about 70 houses in Kingri, according to Musa Khel Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razaq Khajak.
Khajak said at least three people, including a child, were injured in separate wall-collapse incidents. Officials shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre recorded the 5.1 quake at a depth of 17 kilometres. Its epicentre was 60 kilometres northeast of Kohlu.

Tremors from the earlier quake were also felt in Zhob, Barkhan and Rakhni. The Pakistan Meteorological Department later said three earthquakes had occurred in a single day.
The Met Office said the first tremor was recorded at 10:25 a.m., the second at 10:58 a.m. and the third at 4:49 p.m. Earlier in the afternoon, tremors were also felt in Kohlu.
Pakistan lies along the boundary between the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, making parts of the country vulnerable to earthquakes.
Balochistan suffered a deadly quake in Harnai in 2021, when at least 20 people were killed. In 2005, a major earthquake in Azad Kashmir killed more than 73,000 people and left millions homeless.
