Former chief of Karachi police, Shahid Hayat, has now been appointed as Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sindh, just three days after taking charge as Deputy Inspector General of the Crime Investigation Department.
Sources said Hayat’s services have been transferred to the federal government.

Hayat, who faced pressure from some political quarters for his good role in police crackdown in Karachi, had earlier functioned as Additional IG and later he was removed from the post owing to out of turn promotion.
