A complete wheel jam strike was held across Balochistan, initiated by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) in response to alleged electoral fraud in PB-45 Quetta.
Protesters blocked major routes, including the Karachi Highway, Chaman Highway at Syed Hamid Cross, and the Quetta-Islamabad Highway, demanding the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) delay the victory declaration for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate, Ali Madad Jattak.
JUI-F claims the election was manipulated to favour specific candidates, overturning a potential JUI-F win.
Maulana Abdul Wasay, JUI-F’s provincial chief, emphasized the party’s refusal to accept the results, affirming their commitment to pursue political and legal channels to seek justice. He described the strike as a peaceful effort to expose the voting discrepancies.

The strike severely disrupted travel, stranding passengers for extended periods. Vulnerable groups, including women, children, the elderly, and patients, were particularly affected, struggling to reach their destinations. Abdul Hameed, from Chaman, voiced his displeasure over the disruptions.
Despite the extensive traffic disruptions, no violent incidents occurred during the strike. Authorities confirmed that the demonstrations ended peacefully.
JUI-F has committed to continuing its protests until their grievances are addressed.
