Indian claims on surgical strike stand exposed

India, by design, is making false claims against Pakistan in a desperate move to divert world’s attention from its ongoing brutalities in Jammu and Kashmir, Foreign Office said Friday.

“It’s all by design. India constantly want to keep the world under an impression based on lies that do not exist in reality,” Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said in response to Indian defence minister Manohar Parrikar’s statement quoting that there was no need to share proofs of surgical strike.

At a weekly press briefing, the Spokesman said India’s false claim of surgical strike and media campaign against Pakistan had now been “clearly exposed”.

“Against India’s lies, Pakistan has solid proofs of Indian state-terrorism in Occupied Kashmir and also of using Afghanistan’s soil against Pakistan,” he said

He said Pakistan would continue to support Kashmir cause as a national objective.

The Spokesman said Pakistan’s nuclear deterrence was in reaction to Indian aggressive designs and to protect its territorial integrity and sovereignty.

“While Indian aggressive policies and massive arms build-up are destabilizing factors, Pakistan’s policies ensure global peace and security,” he said.

Zakaria rejected the impression that Pakistan had become isolated in international community, saying that the perception needed to be corrected as the “country was very much engaged in world affairs”.

He mentioned that a number of high-level and multi-national activities with other countries were in progress and also the leadership was well-received during bilateral visits.

The Spokesman said the country’s state institutions were on same page on the matter of taking action against militants.

“All state institutions and the society have a consensus on taking indiscriminate action against terrorists and maintaining a zero tolerance,” he said when asked referring to a media report recently published in a national English daily about a meeting on national security.

Terming the story as “speculative”, the Spokesman said the author himself mentioned that no participant of the meeting confirmed contents of the report. (APP)
