An Islamabad court on Monday granted the Federal Investigation Agency a four-day physical remand of Dr Nadir in an alleged illegal kidney transplant case linked to Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital.
Additional Sessions Judge Nasr Minallah Baloch overturned an earlier magistrate’s order that had sent the accused to jail on judicial remand.
The FIA told the court it needed custody of the suspect to continue questioning and collect evidence linked to the alleged organ trafficking network.
Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shahzad Gondal also rejected post-arrest bail pleas filed by five co-accused in the same case.

The FIA Anti-Corruption Circle has arrested nine suspects, including medical staff and facilitators, according to investigation details presented in court.
Investigators alleged the network targeted low-income people from southern Punjab and persuaded them to sell kidneys for small payments in violation of Pakistan’s transplant laws.
The FIA registered the case under allegations of illegal organ transplants and possible violations of medical and legal procedures.
