Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) earlier today has adjourned Gullu Butt’s case hearing till October 27.
Gullu Butt talking to the media after the case hearing concluded said he expects justice from the court and he has apologized for his mistake.
The colourful character shot to fame for vandalizing cars in Lahore in front of live cameras.
He further said, “he belongs to Pakistan and not India then why he is being (so) terribly criticized?”.
Gullu Butt talking to the media said “chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Allama Tahirul Qadri and chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan are like his (Abbu) father and (Mamoo) uncle respectively since they love talking about him all the time. He said he is thankful to the media for the popularity but is ashamed of the negative image and admitted that it brought shame to the country. Gullu Butt represents Pakistan”, he claaimed.
He said that he feels himself guilty for having broken windscreens of cars and gave an “unconditional apology”.
Gullu Butt said that whatever he did was only in response to what Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers had done to him. He clarified that he did not belong to any political party and has no links with the police.
He said that “he had only gone out for breakfast but was bashed by PAT workers on return”.
He said that he had only “reacted to PAT workers’ action” but everyone vilified him only. Gullu Butt said that he is a social worker and not a crook. “I always sided with the oppressed, have also performed Hajj”, he claimed. Though he confessed to picking up cold-drinks from a shop but hastened to clarify that he ‘did not drink any of them’.
