Gilgit, Gilgit-Baltistan: Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz Khan settled 14 GB election petitions on Monday and deferred rulings on two seats until June 17.
Khan said final decisions on GBA-13 Astore-I and GBA-16 Diamer-II would be announced on June 17.
The Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission maintained the validity of Form 47 results in the decided cases. Khan said the commission handled election disputes under the Election Act 2017.
The commission said the GB Assembly elections recorded 70% voter turnout. Khan said official results were delayed because petitions had been filed in some constituencies. The Form-49 consolidated final results have been released for 16 of the 24 constituencies.
The available standings placed the Pakistan Peoples Party first with 10 seats. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had five seats, independents four, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-backed candidates two and Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen one.

Khan said previous re-polling orders in several constituencies, including GBA-8 Skardu-II, GBA-15 Diamer-I and GBA-17 Diamer-III, had been suspended.
Tensions continued in GBA-16 Diamer-II as supporters of independent candidate Imam Malik blocked the Karakoram Highway in Chilas.
Supporters of PPP candidate Attaullah also staged a sit-in outside the district returning officer’s office.
Khan also postponed Gilgit-Baltistan local government elections from August 2 to September 27 after requests linked to Muharram and Chehlum. He said polling would be held across 1,343 wards.
