Gilgit: Gilgit-Baltistan re-polling has been ordered in five constituencies, with final results withheld until voting at selected polling stations on June 15, the Election Commission said Tuesday.
Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz said Form-47s for all constituencies had been completed. However, he said electoral concerns required re-polling at specific polling stations.
The Election Commission of Gilgit-Baltistan said re-polling would cover 10 polling stations in GBA-8. The commission also ordered re-polling at one polling station in GBA-13 Astore and one polling station in GBA-15 Diamer-I.
Re-polling will also take place at three polling stations in GBA-16 Diamer-II and 11 polling stations in GBA-17 Diamer-III.

The commission said final results would be compiled only after the re-polling results are included in the total count.
Under a June 8 notification, the opening and counting of postal ballots in the affected constituencies will remain suspended until re-polling ends.
The Election Commission directed returning officers not to issue final results for the affected seats until further orders.
