Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will arrive in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, at 2 pm Sunday as the GB election campaign enters its final week.
According to the campaign schedule, Bilawal will meet PPP candidates and office-bearers in Skardu. From there, he will begin public election activities on Monday, travelling in a rally from Skardu Airport to Shah Villas, where he will stay overnight.
The following morning, the PPP chairman will leave for Shigar, where he will address an election rally before returning to Skardu in the evening. Subsequently, the party plans a public gathering in Skardu on June 2. Later the same day, Bilawal will travel to Gilgit.
As campaigns intensify before polling on June 7, political parties are making a final push across the region before campaigning closes later this week.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz continues its campaigning efforts, with leaders addressing rallies across Gilgit-Baltistan on Sunday. Khawaja Saad Rafique will speak in Skardu, Murtaza Javed Abbasi will address supporters in Gilgit, Abid Sher Ali will attend a rally in Diamer, and Abid Raza Kotla will address a public meeting in Gilgit.

The campaign has also drawn attention from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. For example, on Friday, senior PTI leader Asad Qaiser claimed police stopped him from reaching Islamabad Airport, causing him to miss his flight to Skardu.
In response to this incident, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi later wrote to the chief justice of the Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan to seek judicial intervention.
Looking back, the GB Election Commission announced in April that polling would take place on June 7, 2026. The commission first planned the vote for January 24 but later delayed it due to harsh weather.
