Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said foreign-backed “inimical designs” targeting Balochistan would face a resolute and decisive state response, ISPR said Friday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations said Munir made the remarks during an interaction with Balochistan’s political leadership and local notables.
He said Balochistan’s future remained inseparable from Pakistan and stressed that peace and stability were essential for the province’s economic development.
According to ISPR, Munir said groups officially labelled “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan” were foreign-sponsored proxies.
He accused hostile elements of using such groups to destabilise Balochistan, obstruct development and create divisions between the state and local communities.

Munir also highlighted the role of Balochistan’s youth. He said greater opportunities and empowerment were central to sustainable development.
The CDF also called for stronger efforts to counter what he described as hostile propaganda and false narratives about the province.
ISPR said participating political leaders and notables reaffirmed their commitment to peace, development and stability. They also pledged to support the state and the armed forces against threats the military describes as foreign-sponsored.
