Despite the claims of the Sindh government to take action against illegal stocking of wheat, the hoarding of the food commodity is on rise by the traders who aim to transport it to Afghanistan.
In this regard, the Provincial Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar while warning the wheat hoarders has said that they should sell their hoarded wheat within 24 hours at procurement centres of food department otherwise their hoarded wheat will be confiscated and strict action will also be taken against hoarders. He said that hoarding of wheat was punishable crime by the law and if the hoarded wheat was not sold in given time, the hoarded wheat would be confiscated.
