ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to leave a parliamentary party meeting.
Multiple media channels reported that the exchange occurred after Kundi arrived, with the meeting already underway. “Mr Kundi, this is a parliamentary party meeting. Please leave for now,” they quoted Bhutto Zardari as saying.
Sources said Bhutto Zardari urged Kundi to adopt a humbler tone. He criticised what he regarded as arrogance. The sources further attributed a remark about the governor’s appointment to the party chairman. In their account, he described the appointment as a political compulsion for the PPP.
Sources linked his displeasure to Kundi’s remarks against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers. They characterised some of the governor’s repeated statements as threats.

Bhutto Zardari had also objected to Kundi’s approach to governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He asked the governor to avoid threatening language on that issue.
Separately, Governor House documented discussions about governor’s rule in an October 4 statement. Kundi met Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Peshawar to discuss the province’s security and political situation.
They discussed the potential imposition of governor’s rule or an emergency. Governor House said it would fulfil its constitutional role if the president and prime minister considered either measure necessary.
