The first group of 773 pilgrims, who have finished their eight-day stay in Madinah Munawwarah, are set to embark towards Makkah Mukarama early on Monday.
These pilgrims landed in Madinah via three flights on May 21 and are now looking forward to continuing their spiritual journey to the holy city of Makkah.
The Pakistan Hajj Mission in Madinah is taking active measures to assist and guide them. Pilgrims are encouraged to use the mission’s toll-free helpline at 800 11 666 22 for any help they might need throughout their pilgrimage.
The mission is dedicated to providing a seamless and meaningful experience and is prepared to handle inquiries and deliver essential aid to pilgrims, ensuring their holy journey goes smoothly.
Furthermore, they can reach Makkah Mukarama at 02 5500426, Jeddah at 02 6670980, and Madinah Munawwarah at 04-8250789 and 04-8250782.
This year, it is expected that 179,200 Pakistani pilgrims will undertake the Hajj. Approximately 81,230 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government scheme, while private tour operators will accommodate the remaining participants according to the authorities’ plans.
The final flight carrying Pakistani pilgrims is expected to leave for Saudi Arabia on June 21, as informed by the Pakistani Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, stated that he closely supervises the entire Hajj operation, ensuring its smooth operation through various means.
Speaking at the final training session of Moavineen-e-Hujjaj (Pilgrims’ Assistants) held at the Haji Camp Islamabad recently, the minister assured attendees that he had taken preemptive measures to resolve any issues or grievances from the pilgrims.
To ensure effective communication, Senator Talha shared a WhatsApp number with all intending pilgrims, inviting them to report any problems they may encounter during their spiritual journey.
He also announced that he financed the development of an online portal to receive and address these complaints efficiently.
The minister further emphasized his zero-tolerance policy towards any negligence or indifference from the pilgrims’ assistants.
