Rome, Italy: Ferrari Luce EV debuts on May 25 as the Italian luxury carmaker’s first fully electric model, with a top speed of 310 kph.
Reuters reported that the four-door Luce, meaning “light” in Italian, will cost more than €500,000, or about $586,000.
The launch marks Ferrari N.V.’s move toward full electrification as several sports car rivals delay or scale back their electric plans. Reuters said demand for high-end battery electric vehicles remains uncertain.
The source report describes the Luce as a large, distinctive four-door grand tourer. It said the car will test whether ultra-luxury buyers accept a quiet electric powertrain in place of Ferrari’s combustion-engine sound.

Ferrari has already shown the Luce interior and interface details on its official website. The company said the layout groups key controls and displays around the driver.
