Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed hit a roadblock at Peshawar Airport when immigration officials barred him from boarding a Saudi Arabia-bound flight for his Faisal Javed Umrah pilgrimage.
Despite Lahore High Court (LHC) approval to travel, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) halted him, igniting a fresh controversy.
Javed, booked on a 3:00 PM flight, told media the LHC had cleared him for Umrah and ordered his name off the Pakistan Exit Control List (PNIL). “I showed them the court order, but FIA officials ignored it,” he fumed, claiming they yanked him off the plane. “They disrespected judicial instructions.” Reports confirm authorities defied the ruling, leaving him grounded.

The senator accused the government of flouting the LHC’s directive, blocking his religious travel rights. “The court said remove my name they didn’t comply,” Javed stressed. The Faisal Javed Umrah saga fuels PTI’s clash with authorities, spotlighting tensions over judicial power and travel freedoms.
This Faisal Javed Umrah standoff pits court orders against FIA action, raising questions about enforcement and rights.
